I met George when he visited our family in Michigan many years ago, I was a young boy at the time. I remember he always had a huge smile and was very endearing. My Dad was John Richard Lissandrello, brother of Paul and Eugene.

George was one of those individuals that one cannot forget. He was larger than life. We were business associates and George was never ambivalent. You always knew where he stood regarding an issue and it was a joy working with him and I will never forget the many occasions he entertained us with his singing, storytelling and general good humor. The world seems emptier without George and less joyful. He enriched everyone's life who knew him. What a blessing it is to have known him.

Joy and Nicole - I cannot express how sorry I was to hear about your father's passing. While I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him, I likewise had a grandfather who fought through leukemia for many years and saw the effects that it had on an ordinarily energetic and cantankerous man. All of my thoughts and prayers have been with you guys and your whole family, I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. - Troy
